Stewed Peaches


  • 4 peaches, peeled and sliced thick
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 T cornstarch, dissolved in ¼ cup water


  1. Place prepared peaches in medium skillet or saucepan.
  2. Pour apple juice and brown sugar on top of peaches.  Stir.
  3. Heat peaches over medium heat until the peaches begin to “give off” their juice and soften slightly.
  4. Add Cornstarch and water mixture to peaches.  Lower heat and stir until sauce thickens.  Serve immediately.
