My name is Nancy Walker and I’m here to provide you with healthy, practical and reliable tips and advice on how to eat healthier, to live a healthier life – from my kitchen to yours!

My purpose is to help you learn that living a healthier lifestyle is really not as hard as most think. If you’re looking to lose weight, start eating healthier, get back on the healthier wagon, or just looking for some new recipes and ideas, I think you’ll enjoy what you’ll find here.

So, where should you begin? Well, if you’re just getting started with your journey toward healthy eating, why not start with the Menus section? Here you will find 10 week’s worth of menus, which is a great place to “cut your teeth”. It will take you step-by-step and week-by-week until you become more familiar with what healthy food actually looks like. We have also added a special section called Picture Recipes that walk you through various recipes from start to finish with photos. One thing that I tried to do was to keep the recipes and menus simple. There are lots of places that you can go to find very involved and exotic dishes, which frankly, I found discouraging in the beginning. I hope you appreciate the simplicity!

I have tried to make the recipes as simple, healthy and tasty as possible. I also try to keep them as low-fat as possible, because most of us get enough fat in our diets anyway. (Watch this video).
