Oatmeal Bread

Break out your breadmakers – this is the easiest bread I have assembled – and it came out great the very first time I tried it – and that never happens.  We ate almost all of this the first night – but what was left – made WONDERFUL toast the next morning!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups milk of your choosing
  • 2 egg replacers or eggs
  • 2 T honey
  • 2 tspn salt
  • 2/3 C old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 C whole wheat flour
  • 2 C bread flour
  • 3 T vital wheat gluten
  • 2 ½ tspn active dry yeast

Preparation:

  1. Place all ingredients in bread pan, in the order listed in the recipe.  Select Whole wheat cycle and press start.
  2. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from plan, place on cooling rack and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
