Whole Wheat and Flax Seed Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 3 T packed brown sugar
  • 2 T Earth Balance
  • 1 egg replacer (3 T water and 1 ½ tspn Ener-G egg replacer)
  • 2 ½ cup less 3 T whole wheat flour
  • ¾ cup bread flour
  • 1/3 cup ground flax seed
  • 2 T dry soy milk
  • 3 T vital wheat gluten
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
Directions:

  1. Add first 5 ingredients to the bread machine pan.
  2. Add all of the remaining ingredients, except the yeast, on top of the liquids.  Do not mix.
  3. Carefully add the 2 teaspoons of yeast.  Select the whole wheat, 1 ½ pound cycle on your bread machine.
