Ingredients:
- 2 T quick flour, such as Wondra flour
- 1 T Earth Balance (Vegan alternative to butter, available at grocers and health food stores)
- ½ cup soy milk
- ½ cup water
- “Beef” or “Chicken”seasoning
Preparation:
- Melt Earth Balance over medium/low heat in small saucepan
- Add quick flour, soy milk, water, and seasoning to taste
- Stir constantly until it begins to thicken
- Makes 1 cup gravy
- Alternative 1: To make a cheese sauce, use grated veggie cheese instead of “beef” or “chicken” seasoning.
- Alternative 2: Add crumbled, cooked vegetarian sausage instead of seasonings for a wonderful “sausage” gravy.
